As
we age we rein in our expectations of what is possible. We no longer expect to be an Olympic
competitor but Champion of Boules is a realistic goal. However, even as our physical prowess
declines, our internal reality (mental and spiritual) can continue to
soar. When Matisse was old and bedridden
he continued to do his cutouts of dancing women – a lovely joyous celebration
of life.
