The passage between childhood and adulthood is fraught with peril. However, accompanied by her 'hemzad' and a wise and cunning serpent she is powerful. Is that a malevolent clown offering her the forbidden fruit of knowledge or a benevolent fool the white rose of innocence? Perhaps he is a link between the perfection of childhood and the reality of adulthood.
